Candidate Exam Tips
CPA EXAM TEST TIPS

It is important for candidates to become familiar with the computer based test (CBT) by visiting the www.aicpa.org website. That site contains an exam tutorial, a practice test and a Candidate Bulletin, all of which you are strongly encouraged to review. The information contained on the cpa-exam.org site will be invaluable to your success on the computer-based examination.

The AICPA has provided a list of suggestions that will assist exam candidates in familiarizing themselves with the CBT in order to enhance their testing experience. To review those suggestions, see CBT Test Tips

FREE ACCESS TO AICPA PROFESSIONAL LITERATURE

As an aid to candidates taking the Uniform CPA Examination, the AICPA provides free access to professional literature now available for CPA Exam candidates. Candidates are encouraged to take advantage of this free service by visiting the AICPA website.

The Uniform CPA Examination consists of multiple-choice questions and condensed case studies called simulations. Within the simulations, candidates must do an online search of professional literature databases to answer questions. Here are some ways that candidates can get access to helpful online resources.

CPA Exam Candidates: Free On-line Access to Professional Literature Package

CPA Exam candidates can get a free six-month subscription to professional literature used in the computerized CPA Examination. This online package includes:
AICPA Professional Standards
FASB Current Text
FASB Original Pronouncements

Candidates may subscribe at www.aicpa.org. Only candidates who have applied to take the exam and have been deemed eligible by the Board will receive access to this package of professional literature. The National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) will confirm the status of all potential subscribers.

For more information and Internet links, go to www.aicpa.org, and click on Prepare for the Exam.
