Nevada Department of Taxation Provides equitable and effective administration of the tax programs for the State of Nevada. The Taxation department consists of the following departments: Audit, Revenue, Assessment Standards, Administrative Services.
Nevada Financial Institution Division The primary responsibilities of this division include the enforcement of regulations and licensing of financial institutions such as depository, lending, collecting and money transfer activities. The division conducts background checks of individuals working for these type of companies and performs annual examinations of all licensees and those affiliated through audit engagements.
Nevada Consumer Affairs Division The division provides educational and enforcement programs for businesses and consumers that live, work or visit Nevada so that they can operate in a marketplace that is fair and free of deceptive trade practices.
Mortgage Lending Division The Division is authorized to enforce the statutes and regulations pertaining to Mortgage Bankers, Mortgage Brokers, Mortgage Agents, Escrow Agencies and Escrow Agents. The Division’s mission is to safeguard public interest by coordinating with industry groups to promote professionalism and ethics of the mortgage lending and escrow industries, and to ultimately provide consumers with a meaningful resolution process.
